Environmental Conservation Laboratories offers many different types of metals analyses, including Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES), Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (ICP-MS), Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption (GFAA), Flame Atomic Absorption (FLAA), Cold Vapor Atomic Absorption (CVAA), and Hydride Generation Atomic Absorption (HGAA).
Prior to analysis by any of these techniques, samples must be prepared, typically by acid
digestion.
Following preparation, samples are analyzed according to the requested method. Rigorous quality
control measures have been implemented to ensure the client the highest quality data possible.
Because of the many variables involved in selecting the proper analytical
technique, it is important that the client specify the end use of the data, or
the "regulatory driver". Note that there are essentially five types of
analyses: Total, Dissolved, Acid Extractable, Recoverable and Leachable (either
TCLP or SPLP).
ENCO's available equipment and prior experience allows us to meet even the
most challenging project requirements, including non-standard methods and
detection limits.
